Welcome to the CAPT CDC Web Site! I am delighted that we have become part of the CAPT Web Network. It is especially important for us in CDC to utilize the web because we are so spread out. Book-mark this site, and check it often as it will be continually updated. And please E-mail Me with any suggestions or comments you might have to make it better.

CDC Psychiatric Technicians are a unique breed and our chapter is unique. Other BU 18 employees work in facilities where they make up a majority of the work force. They work close together and are supported by a large local chapter.

We, on the other hand, are scattered throughout the state. Many of us feel isolated because it is difficult for us to get together and support each other.

This site will aleviate that problem by providing information from CAPT about what is going on and by serving as a communication center for us all.

There are three ways we hope to improve communication:

1) Communication Page--a list of CDC Tech email addressess so that we can communicate directly with each other on an individual basis,
2) On-Line Meetings--a chat room that enables us to communicate in real time for union meetings,
3) CDC Psych Tech Forum--a bulletin board that can be used at your convenience to post questions or information.
